Personality & Traits

General Overview Antto has been know to take a risk or two and isn't always the most formal while on duty, but he is of the belief that if you can do your job, and do it well, some rules are more flexible than others. With this attitude comes his expectation for anyone serving under him to be absolutely dedicated to their craft as well as willing and able to perform under the worst conditions.

He is generally easy going and likable while off duty and enjoys spending time with friends, crewman, or anyone else at the bar willing to chat.
Strengths & Weaknesses Antto is very calm under pressure and has the ability to use unconventional thinking to his advantage, but that can lead to him questioning authority on occasion.
Ambitions Some day he plans on listening to his mother and settling down, but for now he's content sitting on top of a warp reactor as it hurdles through space.
Hobbies & Interests Tai Chi, rock climbing, armature astronomy, reading.

Personal History Antto entered the Starfleet Academy at age 16 and after two years proved he excelled in engineering and tactics, as well as proving himself as an exceptional pilot. Given the choice between continuing down the traditional engineering path or the glamour of becoming a Flight Control Officer he chose to spend an extra year at the academy. This wasn't the only time he'd sacrifice getting into the field for further training either, for after he'd completed his five years at the academy he once again accepted an additional year and attended command school.

Finally leaving the academy with an advanced rank, he entered real service. He served as a flight control officer on the USS Berkeley for three years and with a highly praising recommendation from his Commanding Officer he was accepted into a one year program with the newly-formed Starfleet Research and Development as a test pilot.

To his surprise he was offered Chief Flight Control Officer aboard the newly minted USS Chimera, which operated on the latest helms system he'd unknowingly helped to develop, and gratefully accepted.
